BARBARA R. WILLIAMS

Acupuncture Physician
Diploma in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Tui Na
Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2001)
Diploma in Massage Therapy
Florida College of Natural Health (2001)

Born and raised here in Ticino, at 16 years old I moved to America with my family.  After completing High School and College I decided to follow in my parents' footsteps and study natural medicine.

In 2001 I graduated from both the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Florida College of Natural Health with a degree in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Massage Therapy.

From 2001 to 2018 I operated my own practice and also collaborated with physiotherapists and chiropractors.  I also had the amazing experience of working at the Sarasota Ritz-Carlton Spa where I enriched my knowledge of massage and body/face treatments.

In 2018 I decided with my family to take a big step and move back to Ticino after 23 years in the States.  I am now super happy to call Collina D'Oro home and to have a practice in Montagnola.

In my 23 years' experience as an acupuncturist and massage therapist I have learned to combine the two therapies to provide the best results possible along with some much needed relaxation.  I am very proud to offer a wide variety of treatments that will help you achieve your best health.

MARCO RIVETTI

Acupuncture Physician, Massage Therapist
Diploma in Chinese Medicine, TuiNa and Qi Gong
Scuola Tao Lugano

Acupuncture Physician and massage therapist specializing in Chinese Medicine and Craniosacral Biodynamics, I hold individual sessions and training courses.

After graduating in Literature and Philosophy in 2005, my journey into the world of oriental cultures and body therapies began by studying Yoga and Vedic Chanting, Shiatsu massage, Western Massage Therapy and Chinese TuiNa Massage Therapy and with it Chinese Medicine, which it still remains my main reference theory for understanding the body and maintaining health.

I have continued to study in recent years, completing my degree in acupuncture in Switzerland and furthering my research between Italy, Switzerland and England.

The cultivation of health practices such as Qi Gong, Yoga and meditation has played a very important role in my training as a therapist and lead me to become interested in the study of Craniosacral Biodynamics, of which I have become an operator and teacher. In this context I have deepened the study of embryology and pre-perinatal psychology by meeting European and American teachers.
